In this role he plays a pivotal role in the acceleration of the people agenda in order to support the growth of the company in the African continent. Prior to this role he spend 3 years as HR Director for all Staff Functions in Europe and in that capacity looking after all resource that were either working working in either the Finance, Communications, HR and IT & Enterprise Support teams. (1000+ employees) In the role he was the single point of contact for the SVP Finance and SVP HR as well as the VP Communications and there Leadership Teams on all People Agenda aspects.
Prior to Unilever Stendert spend a number of years with NCR where he held various roles with increasing leadership accountability.
Further Stendert is founder and managing director of HR Executives Connected. HR Executives Connected is a network group with over 520 senior HR Executives from various industries and different parts of the world. HR Executives Connected, which was founded by Stendert Krommendam in 2009, is aimed at developing thought HR Leadership through the power of a strong Global HR network which consist of senior HR practitioners, researchers and professors working in the field of HR.
Stendert holds a Bachelor of Arts in HR, a Master of Science in Culture, Organization and Management studies and is MBTI qualified.
